Handcuffed by Her Hero Launch Party Giveaway #10 - Last chance to win!

I’m SO grateful to everyone for stopping by throughout the day for the party. I thought instead of blabbing on and on, I’d just pick some of my favorite things from the book to post, instead. The banter between Z and Rayna was some of my most favorite stuff EVAH to write. I really hope you enjoy their dynamic, as well!

Saved by His Submissive
(Book 1)

Garrett Hawkins is the most valuable asset to his Special Forces unit—because frankly, the guy doesn’t care if he lives or dies anymore. Since the love of his life, Sage Weston, was kidnapped and killed with her medical unit a year ago, Garrett has turned the shell of his soul into the impenetrable armor of a finely-tuned fighting machine. Being the first tapped for the unit’s craziest missions is just fine by him. The less time for memories, and the agony they carve into his soul, the better.

It’s a plan that works—until one night, deep in the jungles of Thailand, Garrett’s world is upended when memories become stunning reality. The unit is called to rescue a group of kidnapped aid workers, only the head count on the retrieval is unexpectedly doubled. Sage and her teammates, believed dead, are very much alive. Only now that Sage is back in his arms, Garrett doesn’t know what to do. He has changed in dramatic and daunting ways, especially in the darker tastes of his passion. If he touches Sage again, he’ll want to claim her, restrain her…dominate her.

Is Sage’s love strong enough to let Garrett back in not only as her fiancé, but her Dominant? Can she trust that visiting the new shadows of his life will lead her to ecstasy and not ruin? Or can it be that Garrett’s discipline is exactly what her own soul needs to find its way back to life—and love—once again?

Handcuffed by Her Hero
(Book 2)

Between a rock and a hard place.
To Sergeant Zeke Hayes, the expression has always been a non-factor. There's never been a situation he can't blast, punch, or smart-ass his way out of, which makes him the perfect fit for his Special Forces battalion--and a natural-born Dominant who's made a lot of submissives happy from Mt. Rainier to Vancouver.

That all changes when Rayna Chestain enters his world.

A rock.
From the moment Z snatches Rayna from the lair of a South Asian slave trafficker, his inner grizzly roars to life. This is a huge damn problem, because Z isn't wired to be a one-woman man. Growing up an orphan on the streets of Seattle has taught him that beyond a few hours in a dungeon, trust means disappointment and love leads to agony. But here he is, in the remote wilderness escape he'd promised not to share with anyone, harboring Rayna from a fiend who now wants his pound of revenge flesh from her.

A hard place.

Sheltering Rayna? Z's never done anything more right in his life. But wanting her? Dreaming of her beneath him, surrendering to his passion and domination? It's the most forbidden fruit he can crave...and the only thing he can't stop thinking about.

A new beginning?

This is a dead-end canyon that no rifle, bomb or sweet talk will let Zeke escape from. The only way out is to confront the reality of what Rayna has done to him...the mountain she's moved in his intractable heart.

Bio:

Well, hello there! My name is Angel, and I’m so happy to meet you.
Like many, I’ve had a journey to get here.
I’ve loved reading all my life, and have been writing nearly that long, too. I think it started when I penned an 80-page novel about a time-traveling family for a 5th-grade school project. You could say I was hooked. In middle school, I moved to the hardcore stuff: the paragraph-at-a-time “swap-stories” with all my besties. (C’mon…don’t lie…you remember those too!) Needless to say, the stories featured lots of French kissing, mindless groping and angsty drama – but I knew I’d found a niche when I was invited to participate in several more swap-stories on campus.
Some years, various entertainment writing gigs and a half-dozen historical romances later, I discovered the world of erotica – and home. (Not to mention a great place for all that angst I never gave up.)  I love this genre – change that to love this genre – and hope my stories speak to your heart as well as your blood pressure, as well as your courage to explore new things and express your truth in beautiful new ways.

And where do I do all this? Well, if you ask my hubz, he’d likely say “on another planet,” especially if I’m in story-brewing mode! The rest of the time, I live in Southern California with him and our gorgeous child, where I’m abnormally interested in travel, coffee, wine, shoes, super heroes, fetish wear, ridiculous pop culture trends – but most of all, hearing from fellow readers and erotica lovers like you!

Remember: play safe, love completely and never, ever be ashamed to live your truth.

Feel the Heat

Blurb

Lauren Cahill lives as quietly as she can, protecting her ability as a psychic healer. But danger brings Troy Arsenault into her life—along with scorching sex and intense emotions. Resisting him isn’t even a question, in or out of the bedroom. He protects her from the evil stalking her even as he teaches her what erotic sex is all about. When she’s kidnapped, his world is turned upside down and he employs all the resources of The Phoenix Agency to rescue her. He won’t rest until she’s back safely in his life—and in his bed for the rest of their lives.

Excerpt

When the doorbell rang, she was gripped by a sudden attack of nerves, her palms sweating for no reason. She wiped them on her jeans and looked through the peephole. What she saw was an identification folder with a photo ID and Troy Arsenault, Phoenix Agency, in black capital letters, along with the Phoenix logo.

“It’s me,” he called through the door.

“Maybe you’d better let me in before your friends out here decide to join me.”

Friends? What friends?

She cracked the door a little, and her heart sank when she realized some of the reporters and photographers had wandered back closer to the house, apparently hoping to catch a glimpse of her. Or to get a quick shot at her before the cops chased them away. At least they were staying off of her lawn. A cruiser would be driving by again before too long and they’d get chased away. She swallowed hard against the sudden rise of panic.
I won’t give in to it. Everything’s going to be fine. They’ll go away, and I can have my life back.

Summer slid off the safety chain and opened the door just enough for Troy to slip through. When she closed it, she hooked the chain again and turned the deadbolt. Then she turned to the man in her foyer.

She was prepared to be polite, let him do his thing and send him on his way. But when she looked at the man standing there, her tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth and all her breath was trapped in her lungs. Faith had told her Troy Arsenault was a former SEAL and as far as Summer was concerned, he could have been the poster boy for recruiting. He was as tall as Mark, with a lean runner’s body and deeply tanned skin. His light brown hair was just a tad long, curling at the neck of his shirt, the kind of hair a woman wanted to run her fingers through.

But it was his face that was the most arresting. Ruggedly handsome, like Mark, high cheekbones were slashes on either side of his nose and eyes the color of melted chocolate studied her from beneath unexpectedly dark eyebrows and lashes.

Holy crap!

Her reaction to him was hot and totally unexpected and she made a deliberate effort to tamp it down. For one thing, he was only here to make sure she was safe. For another, her history with men was so unpleasant that she’d decided to swear off them completely. The last thing she needed was to have her ruthlessly controlled hormones decide to take a walk on the wild side. How terribly inconvenient that those hormones chose this particular moment to start galloping through her system again. Maybe she should have insisted harder to Faith that she didn’t need anyone.

“Looks like you’re pretty popular with the folks out there.” His mouth curved in a smile but his tone was dead serious. When she didn’t comment he asked, “You okay?”

Summer gave herself a mental shake. What was going on with her? She had a problem here and this man had kindly agreed to come check it out as a favor to her friends. This was business, not pleasure. She’d hoped for someone at least appealing to look at but Troy Arsenault had danger written all over him.

“Sorry.” She didn’t know if her hands trembled because of the mob outside or the nearness of this man. She shoved them into the pockets of her jeans.

“Thank you for coming over here, although I don’t think it was really necessary.”

“From what I saw outside, this may be a little more serious than you think.”

He held out his hand. “Troy Arsenault. But you already know that, right? Nice to meet you, Summer.”

“Same goes. And the idiots outside will probably go away the next time a police car comes by.”

He lifted an eyebrow. “Yeah? Doesn’t look like it to me.”

She suddenly found herself tongue-tied. What happened next? “Um, would you like some coffee? I made a fresh pot.”

“Thanks. That would be nice.”

She led the way into her kitchen and motioned for him to have a seat at the table. Figuring the first rush of phone calls would have subsided by now, she picked up the receiver from the counter and replaced it in the cradle. Her hand hovered over it a moment as she waited to see if it rang. When it didn’t, she breathed a sigh of relief and turned to occupy herself taking down mugs and filling them. As she poured the coffee, she tried to focus on the situation and not the man. Troy Arsenault had an electric magnetism about him that made the air sizzle and scrambled her brain. And that was the last thing she needed right now.

The Phoenix Agency series started out as a stand alone book, believe it or not. Jungle Inferno was going to be a once and done. But readers fell in love with the four partners of the shadowy Phoenix Agency, former military who took on the toughest jobs, the hardest ones, the ones politically swept under the rug. The like the chemistry between them and they loved the psychic theme generated by Mark and Faith’s telepathic communications.
So what could I do? I had to come up with stories for the others, especially since Mark left the military and became the fifth partner.

Researching the stories has been almost as exciting as writing them. I tapped every military resource I could, including both of my firearms instructors, one from Delta Force and one from the Marines. I visited LaRue Tactical where they make sniper rifles for the Marines and learned some very interesting facts. I tapped people who worked in the political climate of Washington and badgered reporters who cover that scene.

And I met an incredible group of people with special psychic abilities. But maybe the most fun was discovering the Caucasian Ovcharka, the Russian Sheepdog, an animal who has been ascribed with psi abilities. In Delicious Danger, she’s the one with the psychic ability.

I buried myself in robotic research for Extrasensory. And for F Stop, I read the Report to Congress on the Program For Remote Viewing. If you ever have insomnia let me know. I’ll send you a copy!

Most of my main characters are based on real life people I met during the course of my research—women whose psychic ability has made them objects of scorn by people who didn’t understand; women who worked in professions both usual and unusual. And men who had taken their expertise learned in the military and put it to good use in private industry.

Oh, and the scenes in Maine and in the Caribbean Islands? I’ve been there.

Got the t-shirt!

So when you read these stories, I hope you will feel the reality of them and know that I’ve gone the extra mile to make these books grounded in reality.

And will appreciate the men and women who quietly and privately put their lives on the line for us.

People have asked me, namely my mother, why I write Paranormal Erotica. First, I'd like to say that there are too many voices battling for attention in my overactive mind to stick to just one genre. Concerning the Underdogs of the Arena Series, I had this idea of men and women fighting in a dark arena for buckets full of cash and away from suspecting, honorable citizens living their lives up above. Then it occured to me that I could enhance the fight scenes if the characters were capable of getting the daylights beat out of them and still keep throwing punches. Basically, in the Paranormal genre my imagination has the freedom to go to town with an idea...that in itself rocks! So, here I am having fun with Ellen (book 1 Bloodweight) who has a...well, let's called it a "colorful vocabulary" and impressive fangs fighting against Demon Barbie for the Championship Belt. Most importantly, she will not hesitate in kicking some warewolf tail if provoked. Here with Stones, Ellen's kickboxing coach, they have a little spat which, in this world, always ends with blood somewhere. So, if you like strong female characters who don't mind taking the front and center stage and Alpha male characters who must clamp their mouths shut to avoid the wrath of Ellen, then check out The Underdogs of the Arena Series.

The Arrangement

Blurb

Maggie thought life as she knew it was over, until she met the dark and Challenging Master Joe. He alone was able to give her what she needed, and with a sure and steady hand the two came to the perfect arrangement for them both. But Joe had secrets of his own, a darkness that Maggie couldn’t break through. When something happens that throws them together, will she be able to tear down his barriers? Will he be able to make her understand who and what he is?

Excerpt

“So instead of obeying your Master and trusting that he knew best,
you openly defied me?” His decision made, he picked up the leather harness
and a large, flesh-colored vibrator. He walked back over to her and attached

the pleasure device to the harness. Joe pulled her lower body away from the
cross and pushed the vibe deep into her cunt then snapped the harness to her.

He walked back to the table and picked up the small remote control box.

“Since you have blatantly defied me, pet, and put self-pleasure ahead of what

I can give you, you may have as many orgasms as you want.” He leaned his
elbow on the table, his long legs crossed at the ankles. His eyes scanned her
body; so in tune with her, he could tell she was nervous, and that pleased him.Joe had a smirk on his face, the corner of the left side of his mouth turned upwards slightly. He was going to show his little pet why it was a bad idea to defy him.

This book was such a labor of love for me, more so than any of my other stories. These two, Maggie and Master Joe, are perfect in their imperfections. They are real and human and each emotion from either of them is so true and heartfelt!

Coveted

Blurb

Coming Soon!

Excerpt

As her car’s brake lights flashed on and off, then disappeared into the nearby parking garage, a spear of paralyzing fear shot down Muriel Stewart’s spine and into her legs, anchoring her four-inch Jimmy Choos to the sidewalk like lag bolts.

With her only method of escape out of sight, she turned her gaze to the broad steps and heavy wooden doors in front of her, opened her mouth, and drew in a deep breath of cool evening air. She’d gotten used to flying solo over the last year, but the tightness in her chest and the lack of oxygen reaching her lungs proved there were still a few things she wasn’t comfortable doing alone.

Visiting Pandora’s Playground was apparently one of them.

“Oh, c’mon, Muriel,” she growled through clenched teeth as she fisted her hands at her sides. “This is ridiculous.”

Pandora’s Playground had been a second home to Ian and her over the past three years. Even longer if she counted all the nights and weekends they’d spent transforming the old live-performance theater into one of the most exclusive kink clubs in the southeast.

All their closest friends were members, and there wasn’t any place she felt more comfortable, or loved, than at the club.

However, at the moment, she felt like a wild animal: frightened and cornered with no means of escape—even though she stood at the edge of a wide open street.

She brushed away a piece of hair tickling the corner of her eye and futilely wished the suffocating panic closing in on her could be so easily swept away.

Dammit, why did I agree to come here tonight?

Because rather than using his concerned-friend voice to initiate the invitation, Master Lucas had spoken to her like a Dom commanding a sub. “Be at the club Friday night, eight sharp.”

Before her brain cells established a defensive position and declined the invitation, her compliant, submissive soul spoke up with a resounding, “Yes, Sir.”

Following his command, she’d arrived precisely at eight. But her resident scaredy-cat was well aware he hadn’t been specific about her actually entering the building.

The overhead canopy loomed like an ominous dark cloud, but the embedded lights casting a glow over her no doubt illuminated every fear and worry line creasing her face, an exclamation point to her obvious hesitation.

She lifted her gaze to the security camera mounted in the corner and stared at it like she could see through the lens and into the eyes of the man she knew was watching.

If she continued to stand there looking desperate and pathetic, would he take pity on her and come to her rescue?

No, probably not. Lucas Steele was the most patient man, as well as the most disciplined Dom, she’d ever met. Even if it took her hours to make up her mind, he would patiently stand in front of the monitor, watching and protecting her from a distance, just as he’d done for the past year.

The problem was, even though she was physically safe and sound, she was an emotional mess. She huffed at the notion that would matter to him. He was a Dom… He thrived on keeping submissives in a state of upheaval. Her emotional earthquake sure as hell wouldn’t spur him into action.

She chewed her bottom lip and returned her attention to the doors—the ones she’d never walked through alone. The prospect of doing so tonight threw a wash of sadness over her, burning her eyes and causing her to sway on the stilettos Ian loved so much. Without his warm, loving hands to steady her, she had no choice but to grab hold of the cold, brass handrail and support herself.

The sight of her bare ring finger intensified the burn in her eyes and forced her to clamp down on her lip to stop the trembling.

“You’re not here to play, Muriel… You’re here to visit with friends, see the new addition Lucas mentioned… and maybe… possibly… if it feels right… start gently moving forward with your life.”

Which meant she needed to start moving in the direction of those damned doors before she got ticketed for loitering. Having Lucas play witness to her chicken-skinned approach was bad enough. She didn’t need the added embarrassment of the valet finding her rooted where he’d left her.

With a deep breath, she concentrated on the toes of her shoes as she lifted first one foot, then the other, slowly… cautiously… climbing the red-carpeted steps to the club’s grand entrance.

The vertical brass handles were icy under her fingers and the heavy door seemed to pull against her as she tugged it open, then slipped into the warm and inviting lobby.

The theater’s original entryway had been a large, open space that allowed show-goers to congregate and visit before the performance. Ian, Lucas, and Mathew had reduced the size of the room to create a more intimate setting, as well as creating more space in the interior of the club for playrooms. However, even though they’d redistributed the space, they’d excelled at preserving the original ambiance.

Heavy red velvet drapes hung on either side of the ticket window, which now functioned as the reception area and coat closet. Reproduction wallpaper lined the walls, beautifully absorbing, then reflecting the warm light from the original gas wall sconces. If one closed their eyes, they could almost hear the laughter and chatter of all those who passed through here before.
To the left of the coatroom was a modern office, which housed the security monitors covering every inch of the club, including the sidewalk out front. She found Lucas exactly where she’d expected—leaning against the doorway of the office, watching the monitor, positioned to act if necessary.

His tender smile and the pride shimmering in his green eyes warmed her heart and smoothed the sharp edges of her nerves. “You’re such a brave girl.”

She laughed and dropped her chin to her chest, hiding her embarrassment at having been caught flat-footed… well, as flat-footed as a girl could get in four-inch heels. “I don’t feel very brave.” She slid her toe through the thick-pile carpeting and twisted her mouth into a pout. “You could’ve come out and gotten me.”

“I could have,” he said, shoving off the doorway to envelop her in a tight, welcoming hug.

His arms wrapped protectively around her, as well as the press of his solid body against hers, made her glad she found the guts to shuffle her butt through the door. As a massage therapist, she touched people on a daily basis. But no one ever touched her.

It’d been a year since anyone held her close, and until this moment, she hadn’t realized how much she missed the physical connection.

Coming this fall - "Coveted - Book #1 in the Pandora's Playground series"

Guest Post

People ask me all the time which book has been the hardest to write. I've always had a sense that I hadn't gotten to that one yet, and boy was I right!!

I can't tell you how many times I've started this story, how many sleepless nights I've spent because I had no idea where it was supposed to go, and how many heart-to-heart talks I had with Mathew before he finally broke loose and started giving me the information I needed in order to move forward.

I had originally planned on doing this as a short story, but after Mathew came clean and filled me in on his life, I realized he was too complex for that and decided to make this a full-length story.

I wish I could give you an exact release date, but it's still a work-in-progress, so all I can say is that I'm writing as fast as I can. Visit my website and sign up for my newsletter to stay up to date with release information! Not only for this series, but for the next installment in the Heat Wave Series, as well.

Congratulations, Angel, on another fantastic release. Thanks for letting me come play!!!

Can Jane and Ty handle a relationship meddling mother-in-law, crazy kids, and stay alive while trying to solve the mystery of the garden gnomes?

Excerpt

Chapter One

“I’m not sure which one I want. I didn’t realize there were so many choices!”

The woman wasn’t on the hunt for a new car or juice boxes at the grocery store. Nope. She wanted a dildo. I called her type a Waffler. Someone who contemplated all options before even attempting to make a choice. Because of Miss Waffler, I had ten different dildo models spread out across the counter. Glass, silicone, jelly and battery powered. She needed help.

That’s where I came in. My name is Jane West and I run Goldilocks, the adult store in Bozeman, Montana, my mother-in-law opened back in the seventies. Story goes she named it after the fairytale character when a mother bear and her two cubs walked down Willson right in front of the store the week before it opened. She called it fate. Or it could have been because her name is Goldie, so it made sense. I started working for her when my husband died, a temporary arrangement that helped her out. Three years later, things had turned long-term temporary.

The store was tasteful considering the offerings. The walls were a fresh white, shelves and displays just like you’d find at the typical department store. Then tasteful made way for tacky. Gold toned industrial carpet like you’d see in Vegas, a photo of a naked woman sprawled artfully across a bearskin rug over the counter. A sixties chandelier graced the meager entry. Goldie had to put her unique stamp on things somehow.

It wasn’t a big store, just one room with a storage area and bathroom in back. Whatever she didn’t have in stock—although you'd be amazed at the selection Goldie offered in such a small space—we ordered in. Montanans were patient shoppers. With few options store-wise in Bozeman, most people ordered everything but the basics from the Internet. There’s one Walmart, one Target, one Old Navy. Only one of everything. In a big city, if you drove two miles you came across a repeat store. Urban sprawl at its finest. Not here, although there were two sets of Golden Arches. One in town and one off the highway for the tourists who needed a Big Mac on the way to Yellowstone. The anchor store of the town’s only mall was a chain bookstore. No Nordstrom or Bass Pro Shop out here. You shopped local or you went home.

In the case of the woman in front of me, I wished she’d just go home.

Don’t get me wrong, I liked helping people and I’m comfortable talking sex toys with anyone. But this time was definitely different. Big time.

Behind Miss Waffler stood a fireman. A really attractive, tall, well muscled one wearing a Bozeman Fire T-shirt and navy pants. Can you say hot? A hot man in uniform? Yup, it was a cliché, but this one was dead-on accurate.

He’d come in while I was comparing the various dildo models before I went into the perks of having rotation for best female stimulation. The first time.

“Can you explain the features of each one again?” Miss Waffler had her fingers on the edge of the glass counter as if she were afraid to touch them.

Petite, she was slim to the point of anorexic. Her rough voice said smoker, at least a pack a day. Her skin was weathered, either from cigarettes or the Montana weather, and wrinkles had taken over her face. She’d be pretty if she ate something and kicked the habit.

I gave her my best fake smile. “Sure.”

I darted a glance at the fireman over the woman’s shoulder. Sandy hair trimmed military short, blue eyes, strong features. Thirties. A great smile.

He seemed perfectly content to wait his turn. If the humorous glint in his eye and the way he bit his lip, most likely to keep from smiling, was any indication, he was clearly enjoying himself. A radio squawked on his belt and he turned it down. Obviously my lesson on sexual aids was more important than a five-alarm fire.

Miss Waffler was completely oblivious of, and unaffected by, the fireman. I now knew why she wanted a dildo.

I picked up a bright blue model. “This one is battery powered and vibrates. Three settings. Good for clitoral stimulation.” I put it down and picked up another. “This one is glass. No batteries, so it’s meant for penetration. The best thing about it is you can put it in the freezer or warm it and it provides a varied experience.”

The woman made some ah sounds as I gave the details. I went through all the possibilities with her one at a time. I got to the tenth and final model.

“This one is obviously realistic. It’s actually molded from the erect penis of a porn star. It’s made of silicone and has suction cups on the base.”

Fireman peered over the woman’s shoulder as I suction cupped the dildo to the glass counter.

Thwap.

“You can attach it to a piece of furniture if you want to keep your hands free.”

Both fireman and Miss Waffler nodded their heads as if they could picture what I was talking about.

“I’ll take that one,” she said as she pointed to number ten. The eight inch Whopper Dong.

“Good choice.”

I rang up Miss Waffler’s purchase and she happily went off to take care of business.

And there he was. Mr. Fireman. And me. And dildo display made three.

“Um…thanks for waiting.” I tucked my curly hair behind an ear.

“Sure. You learn something new every day.” He smiled. Not just with his mouth, but with his eyes. Very blue eyes.

Right there, in the middle of my mother-in-law’s sex store, dildos and all, there was a spring thaw in my libido. It had long since gone as cold as Montana in January. Who could have blamed it with all of my dead husband’s shenanigans? But right then I felt my heart rate go up, my palms sweat from nerves. The fireman didn’t seem the least bit phased by my little sex toy talk. I, on the other hand, was having a hot flash like a menopausal woman just looking at him.

“I’m Jane. What can I help you with today?” Hi, I’m Jane. I’m thirty-three. I like hiking in the mountains, cross-country skiing, I’m a Scorpio, and I want to rip that uniform off your hot body. I wiped my sweaty palms on my shorts.

He laughed and held out his hand. His grip was firm, his skin warm and a little rough. “Ty. Thanks, but no toys for me.” A pager beeped. He looked at it briefly and ignored it.

“Don’t you need to answer that? A fire or something?” I asked.

“Cat up a tree,” he joked.

I laughed, and heard my nerves in it. I took a deep breath to try and calm my racing heart. It didn’t work. All it did was make me discover how good he smelled. It wasn’t heavy cologne. Soap maybe. I didn’t really care if it was deodorant. He smelled fabulous.

“Actually, it was for station two. I’m here for your fire safety inspection.” He placed papers on the counter. Had he been holding them all this time? I hadn’t noticed. For the next fifteen minutes we went over fire inspection paperwork with an elephant in the room the shape of a dildo.

Writes of Submission

Blurb

Nikki Sutherland can’t believe her luck. She’s won an all-expenses paid trip to the BDSM resort Clifftop Fantasies to co-author a book with her idol, erotic romance author Candee Appelbaum. Unfortunately, Candee is really a man—a very good-looking man—named Kane Harris. Another gorgeous hunk, Dante Hunter, is also at Clifftop to market the resort owner’s new cookbook, Stealth Veggies. The guys are both younger than her and way out of her league—or so she thinks. Even worse, Kane is a wisecracking eccentric with a skewed fashion sense and an odd taste in music who writes late at night with a bottle of wine. Dante likes to do his thinking during yoga or biking, things Nikki hasn’t done in years. Nikki’s journey teaches her the difference between reading hot, sexy ménage scenes and living them with the two best-looking guys she’s ever met. Can she handle the Writes of Submission?

Excerpt

“This yoga stuff might not be too bad. Remind me of the rules. What word do we all take a shot on?”

From her downward dog position Nikki glanced under her elbow toward Kane. He was doubled over, as she was, his ass in the air and his palms planted on his yoga mat, but his face was turned toward her. As she looked, he exchanged a grin with Dante.

“No shots.” Dante’s voice was smug. “I told you this would be fun. The poses will get even more interesting in a minute.”

“Now I just need an umbrella drink and a long straw.”

Nikki rolled her eyes as Dante said, “Okay, now walk your hands back and touch your toes.”

“I’d rather touch my knees,” Kane said. “They’re a lot closer.”

“That’s fine.” Dante’s voice was muffled and Nikki looked to see that his face was firmly planted between his knees. His hands reached around to clasp behind his calves.

Nikki got a firm grasp of her ankles and held the pose for a minute, feeling muscles she hadn’t spoken to in years making their presence known.

“Kane, I have an idea,” she gasped out.

“Why don’t you donate a hot tub to Clifftop? Like today? I think we’re going to need it.”

“I will take that under consideration.” His voice sounded too high and too amused for him to be in as much pain as she was, Nikki thought. She twisted to look behind her and caught him standing, a wide smile on his face as he stared at her ass.

When he met her gaze, his smile faded and he cleared his throat.

“Good workout, Dante. I can already feel the blood pumping through my brain, filling it with all kinds of new ideas. Shall we open a bottle of—”

“It’s only been three minutes.” Dante cut him off. “We haven’t even started yet—and I don’t think it’s your head that’s getting most of the blood, dude.”

As Dante plopped himself down on the mat and spread his legs, Nikki noticed the bulge in his crotch. It was really quite large, she thought, tilting her head to consider. Guys didn’t wear cups to do yoga, did they? Could that be all him? If so, Dante must be half horse, she thought.

He met her eyes and Nikki realized that he could tell she was looking at his junk. Her face burning, she pulled her eyes away and concentrated on arranging herself in a similar position.

“Ah. Okay. At least we’re sitting down now. This is more my speed. Why didn’t we start here?” Kane nodded and lowered himself to the floor.

“At least it’ll be less embarrassing when I pass out, I guess. Although the view isn’t as good.”

Dante leaned forward, putting his elbows on the floor in front of him. Nikki tried to follow his example, although she only managed to rest her hands on the floor.

“It’s not so bad from this angle,” Dante said.

Nikki followed his gaze and saw that her cleavage was now on full display, bulging over the edge of her tank top.

“Wait, what am I missing?” Kane scooched forward, looking between Nikki and Dante.

“We’re stretching,” Dante told him. “Put your head on the floor in front of you.” He demonstrated, reaching out his hands even farther.

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” Kane sat back up, staring at him in horror.

“You expect me to do that? It hurts just watching you.”

Nikki gave it an attempt, but only managed to lean forward a little. She groaned. “I didn’t know I was getting so stiff.”

“Getting a little stiff myself, here,” Kane said. Nikki looked over to see that he was leaning much farther up than she was, but his head was turned so he could stare past her arm at her breasts.

She wasn’t sure how she felt about that. He had the grace to look a little embarrassed, at least, but her first instinct was to feel insulted. Then she remembered she’d just been staring at Dante’s crotch. Maybe it was the influence of this place. There were naked pictures all over the place and very suggestive sex equipment lined the walls.

“Is that Allie in those photos?” she asked Kane to distract him from staring at her. She couldn’t possibly be at her best splayed out on the floor like this.

“Most of them, I think.” Kane turned obligingly to follow her gaze. “Nice, aren’t they?”

Nikki felt a pang of jealousy. Or sciatica. She wasn’t sure exactly which.

Dante raised his head from the floor and looked, too. “Yeah. Sexy. Okay, right foot to left thigh, please.” He leaned back down over his leg, bringing his lips to his knee.

Nikki groaned again, grateful at least that the topic of Allie’s sexiness had been changed. It probably should have given her motivation to work harder, but all it really did was make her yearn for a pint of Ben & Jerry’s, a comfy couch, and an old movie on television.

“Nikki, if you see me kissing my own knee like he is, do not pass Go, do not collect $200. Just call 911, because I’ve fallen from a great height and need help.” Kane was looking ruefully down at his leg as if it was deliberately embarrassing him. “Immediate help.”

“I’ll keep that in mind.” She chuckled. “You’d better at least try this, though, or Dante may help with that fall.”

Guest Post

Everybody is curious about co-writing a book, but very few people have the guts to actually give it a try! In our latest book, Writes of Submission, we tried to include a lot of the ups and downs of our own co-writing experiences. From the "Were we even in the same room?" to the "Okay, you can make the hero this way if you agree to this concession," we've included a lot of the fun and frustrations of writing together. All six of our books have been co-written, with each of us taking certain scenes, and then me (Kasi) combining them into one (I hope!) voice. We are shortly (hope I'm not spilling any secrets here!) going to begin a series we've been planning that will be co-written with Marla Monroe, so that'll be even more people with their fingers in the pie! Wish us luck and keep an eye out - we'll be posting updates and teasers on our blog, www.naughtyeverafter.wordpress.com!

Finding Love's Wings

Blurb

CAMERON ENDERS seems to have it all: a brand new condo in a city she loves, a top executive position at an international entertainment firm, an insane amount of money, and a gorgeous boyfriend. But when Cami catches the boyfriend in the act with another woman, it triggers all the anguish from years of neglect by her parents, and she realizes she never learned how to love or be loved. Cami flees to the remote tropical island of Tarah, but she can't avoid facing her problems any longer when she meets the man of her fantasies...

TRISTAN MICHAELS, one of Hollywood's hottest new stars, has come to Tarah to ride out a storm. His girlfriend of five years has been caught on camera cheating, and she's determined to make Tristan stop the story from breaking. But Tristan's done cleaning up her messes. He needs to escape all things Hollywood for a while--and especially the firm that represents him--until the whole thing blows over. What he doesn't count on is meeting an irresistibly beautiful woman, a woman who just so happens to be the CEO of the firm he's trying to avoid.

Can Tristan and Cami help each other learn to trust and love again, or will their histories of betrayal tear them apart?

Excerpt

"Tristan, today and tonight have been amazing. Thank you," I whisper as I reach up and cup his face. With a little bit of pressure against his cheek I coerce his mouth toward mine and kiss him.

I faintly hear the ding of the elevator over the sound of the blood rushing and pulsing through my ears. I realize I'm not breathing. His hand on my jaw exerts gentle pressure to lead me forward. Not until the elevator closes mere inches behind me do I realize that we've entered the foyer of his suite.
I reach up and grip his hair, pulling his mouth to mine in an aggressive kiss. I feel his hands on my back, seeking a zipper. In contrast to mine, his motions are slow and calculated. Like he is trying to make sure that this is what I really want.

“Want” is no longer a word in my vocabulary. I need him.

I pull away from the kiss and bring my hands slowly down his neck to the top button of his shirt. Slowly, one by one, I start to undo his shirt.

As I slowly undo each button, little visual pleasures come into view. His chest is cut to perfection. His abs are chiseled. As I unhook the last button, his shirt starts to fall away from his shoulders. A good portion of the dragon on his chest comes into view and I take a moment to breathe in his scent His scent is like heaven, and my body heats. He is gorgeous.

Opening his shirt brings out the sexy, well-defined V that accents his hips. My breathing spikes and my mouth goes dry. His pants are hung low on his hips in such a way that I would be surprised if he was wearing anything underneath.

Reaching up, I push his shirt off, drinking in his nakedness. I'd seen him shirtless before, but not like this. Not with the eyes of knowing that tonight everything changes between us. Once we start, it is going to be impossible to stop going forward.

I continue pushing his shirt down his arms. His biceps are beautiful, toned, and tight. Perfectly contoured, thick and strong. His skin is very warm to the touch with a slight hint of a tan. When the arms of his shirt reach his wrists, they stop and go no further.
